ARCHITECTURE TO UX
Harshita Sethi
What’s your career background?
I graduated as an architect and worked for a year in the field before transitioning to UX design.
What interested you about UX?
I’ve always had an interest in human psychology, problem finding and problem solving. UX design is a great field that combines all three while also allowing me to delve into my love for research and design (creative exploration).
What did you like about Valentin as being your UX mentor?Â
As I was entering this field, Valentin guided me well through the transition, giving me motivating and honest feedback to my work, while also helping me learn by working on a side project. That’s where I feel like I truly gained a lot of knowledge from him related to the daily work of a UX Designer as well as about the industry.
Did Valentin help you to get a UX role?Â
Valentin was a very motivating mentor through the job hunt process. There are always ups and downs in the process and it’s great to have someone like him supporting you.
Would you recommend Valentin as a mentor to others?Â
Valentin has the kind of optimism that’s very contagious. He’ll bring all the positivity he has and motivate you throughout your journey, while also giving you honest feedback and pushing you to be your best self. Valentin is definitely the mentor to have by your side in your journey of becoming a UX Designer.
